- No, you do not need to leave your NHS GP. Our Well Woman Medical services are designed to complement your existing NHS care. You can continue seeing your NHS GP for general health needs while benefiting from our tailored health check-ups, regular monitoring, and additional private GP consultations.
- Yes, you can choose to add optional tests either during the booking process or at any time before your appointment. Feel free to contact us if you wish to update or adjust your package after booking.
- Our stool test (qFIT test) helps assess your gut health and detect any signs of digestive issues or abnormalities. You will be provided with a home test pack that includes all the necessary instructions to complete the test. During your appointment, the nurse will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have to ensure you're comfortable with the procedure. Once completed, your sample will be sent to the lab for analysis.
- The Gut Microbiome test analyses the bacteria present in your digestive system, providing key insights into your gut health. You'll receive a test kit with clear instructions on how to collect your sample at home. Once submitted, we'll provide you with a detailed report on the balance of your gut microbiome and recommendations for maintaining optimal digestive health.
- Hormone tests are not included as standard because they are tailored to individual health needs. Many people don't need hormone testing unless they have specific symptoms, such as low energy, mood changes, or weight fluctuations. Hormone testing was once considered useful for menopause assessment, but it's less commonly necessary now. If you're unsure whether hormone testing is right for you, our medical team can guide you based on your health profile.
- After your Well Woman Medical, you'll have a follow-up appointment to discuss your results and any health concerns. Depending on the package you choose, this could be a 15-minute phone review, 30-minute in-clinic appointment, or a 45-minute in-depth discussion with your GP. You'll receive a personalised health report, and together, you'll develop a plan for any further tests or actions required.
- All Well Woman Medical packages include a personalised results report. The Advanced and Advanced Gut Health packages will also include a letter written by our GP outlining your annual health goals, which can be shared with your GP for further continuity of care. This report summarises your results from the medical examination, blood tests, and other assessments, providing you with actionable insights and tailored advice to support your health journey.
- Typically, most results are available within 5-7 working days after your appointment, depending on the complexity of the tests. You will be contacted with your results and scheduled for your follow-up consultation to review them with a GP.
- Our Well Woman Medical services are designed for adult women of all ages, and our packages can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual. Whether you're in your 20s or your 60s, we provide services to monitor and manage your health at every stage of life.
